Declan Cooney formed LandArc in 2006. Declan began his career and studies in Art and Design and quickly found the outdoor environment his preferred place for craftsmanship. From working with a top Landscape Design and Contracting Company in New York to Garden Designers and Landscape Construction business’s back in Ireland, Declan combined these work experiences with gaining qualifications in Horticulture and Garden Design.
Landscape Architecture
During this time Declan began laying the foundations for LandArc by creating and building upon working relationships formed over these early years. Declan continued to develop the business, gaining new experiences and skills while completing an Honors Degree in Landscape Architecture from the School of Architecture UCD in 2013.
Since qualifying as a Landscape Architect, Declan and LandArc have completed a range of design and build projects while also being involved in community projects and design competitions. Declan has been a Landscape Architect and part of the landscaping team on the POP UP Granby Park Project in Dublin’s City Centre and part of the award winning team for ‘The Pantry’ garden in Bloom 2014.
Declan combines his passion for design, his strong understanding of plants and their environment and his extensive experience in material choice and construction techniques to create and deliver exceptional unique spaces that thrive in our climate.
